Jeremiah 33:2-3

Many of you already know, but for those we may missed, Brooke has been feeling ill lately with a string of severe migraine type headaches which has pretty much planted her either on the couch or in bed. We went to San Jose last week to see a family doctor. He decided it was best for all parties involved to admit her to the hospital to speed up the process of us returning to our home here in Villarreal. After 4 days of seeing 4 different specialists and trying different medications, it was discovered that Brooke's pituitary gland (sp) is secreting the double amount needed for a woman of Brooke's stature, a hormone called prolactone and therefore causing these severe headaches. It was also discovered that she has a very tiny tumor (non cancerous) attached to the pituitary gland. She was able to be discharged and is now 'recovering' at home. We are not sure how long Brooke will be in this 'recovering' state as she is adjusting to her mediactions and our life as missionaries here in Costa Rica.
I am asking for your prayers as we ourselves seek the Lord's guidance as we begin our newest journey here and are trying to adjust Brooke's load as servant of the great King, as wife and mother of three homeschooling children, and as a missionary who has responsibilities to fulfill. Thank you for your prayers and support. God Bless!
In His name,
Matt

January 11, 2011

- We are seeking "prayer partners" or starting a "prayer team" for 2011. If anyone is interested please see our January 2011 newsletter  for more details.

- Please be in prayer along with us as we prepare for the 'full' program of PFK which is set to start in the 3rd week of Februaury when the Costa Rican children return to school (schooling runs Februaury thru December here in CR). We plan on including an English component as well as a sport component along with a hot meal, receiving  Biblical teaching (discipleship) and tutoring components which we started in 2010 with the pilot program. The plan is to go 4 days a week this year for 2011.
Please pray for wisdom, the ability to speak and communicate in Spanish (effectively), guidance, stamina and probably most importantly- the ability to be the fruit of the Spirit (Galations 5:22-23) to the children. Our hope is that they not see Brooke, Matt and Don Victor, but they see Jesus Christ, the reason why we are here in Costa Rica serving.

 - Please pray for our visa renewal trip coming up in a few weeks. We plan on being in Nicaragua from Jan. 24 - 27 and serving with our fellow brother and sister in Christ, Dave and Tamra Bryant as they are sharing the love of Christ Jesus to their 'neighbors' in San Juan del Sur. Pray for smooth border crossings as crossing to and from Nicaragua can be a 'little' stressful (if any of you have ever done it before).

- Please pray as we are transitioning to Shepherd's Staff (January 1, 2011 start date) from Christian Light Foundation.

October 26, 2010

Greetings! Would you please join us in prayer this week for several important things in our lives and the ministry here.

First, Matt and I were invited to attend a Latin American Calvary Chapel conference  in El Salvador with Pastor Phil and Calvary Chapel Villarreal. Part of the conference will be spent at the Potter's Field Kids Orphanage and Ministry Center just outside of San Salvador, the capital city. We are so excited for this opportunity to travel and see where PFK all started as well as be part of what we are sure will be powerful time in the Word and solid biblical teaching. We will be traveling as a family to Managua, Nicaragua in our car on this Thursday, October 28, 2010, and flying out of Managua airport to San Salvador, El Salvador. Please pray for us as we travel up to Managua and then as we fly to San Salvador on Thursday. We will be returning to Managua, Nicaragua on Monday, November 1, 2010 and then driving back to Villarreal later that day. Please pray as we return on November 1st. Please pray also for Pastor Phil and two of the leaders of the church as they travel the entire day Thursday in bus and then again on Monday as they travel back in bus. It is about an 18 hour trip. Pray for wonderful fellowship during our time together as well. Praise God with us for this opportunity and blessing!

Second, please continue to pray for the kids of PFK. We are seeing them open up more and more  and we love our time with them each week. Praise God with us for the weekly Bible Club as well. Last Thursday there were over 50 kids! Ask the Lord of the harvest with us to send workers to this ripe field!

Third, praise God with us for his answer to our prayer of receiving discipleship. We have begun to study inductively the book of Ephesians each week.  Pray with us for God to open the eyes of our hearts that we may know him better, that God would give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and that we may know the hope to which he has called us and the incomparably great power we have in him. (Eph. 1:17-19)

Finally, please pray for each of our children. As they grow and mature we see them developing and maturing at a rate faster than we would like to see. Please pray specifically against the temptations this world offers. Please pray that their eyes, ears, and hearts be protected from all that is around them in these evil days. Ask God to surround us as a family, pray for us to keep him in the center, and for continued open communication with our kids. (Please don't be alarmed as nothing has happened to them...we just live in an evil world and ask for and covet your prayers for our family and children).

Thank you for your partnership with us in prayer.

"I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers." Ephesians 1:15

I have an awesome praise to report!! Last night, Ronnie, our neighbor and husband of Dinora, accepted the Lord!! As we were going thru lesson 7 of the 1st discipleship book, I noticed by the way he answered a question, he didn't appear to have a personal, saving relationship w/ our Lord Jesus Christ. So after the lesson was over (which was about 6:30p.m. and knowing that I had something else going on at 7p.m.) I knew I had to forge on despite possibly being late to my next discipleship group at Calvary Chapel. However, after sharing with Ronnie the bridge illustration, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior!! I gave him a big ol' hug (which he clearly was NOT expecting) and told him that we are now brothers in Christ, to which he just looked at me with 'that' look like, "what are you saying?" I said, "we will talk more about that later" with a HUGE smile on my face....
I have noticed for some time that Ronnie has seemed 'different' by no longer being lead by the 'addiction' of alcohol, but searching for something like so many of us did right before we accepted Jesus; and now following his personal Savior. I can only hope and pray for great things to come in his life. Ronnie is now a 'new' man not just literally speaking but spiritually speaking also. Praise be to you Jesus for giving me the opportunity ((and leading me thru my (at times)'rough and ugly' Spanish)) to lead this man from eternal death to eternal life! ¡Gloria a Dios!
Matt

July 20, 2010

Dear family and friends,
Hello! We hope this update finds you well. We've had a busy few weeks
and although we have loved every minute of it, we are looking forward
to a little bit more of a normal routine.

We have several things that you can pray for this week:

First, please pray for the new discipleship groups we will start this
week in Santa Rosa. Also, please continue to pray as we contuinue to
follow-up with many more kids from the VBS as we seek to make new
disciples in this small village with now Evangelical presence.

Secondly, please pray as Brooke accompanies Dinora each week as she
disciples her mother, Judith, her father, Ruben, her brother. Marlin,
and her sister, Sandra. Please pray for Ruben to accept the Lord as
his Savior. Pray for Dinora as she grows in her faith, and makes this
important display of obedience to make disciples. This little village
has no Catholic church or Evangelical church, as do several others in
the area. Please pray for wisdom and guidance as we see disciples
making disciples in dark areas of Guanacaste. Pray first, that the
Holy Spirit be the source of our strength, wisdom and our guide. Pray
also for long lasting fruit.

Thirdly, we ask you to humbly pray with us as we begin yet another
adventure of total and utter dependence on Jesus. We've spent much
time in prayer, studying God's Word and in fasting about a new
ministry opportunity with which we were presented. We can clearly see
God's hand upon this opportunity and eagerly begin preparations for
its beginning. We will be sharing more as we ourselves gain more
details and information, meet with our new teammate and the pastor,
and develop a ministry plan. We've eagerly agreed to partner with the
Calvary Chapel church in implementing an after-school program which
will be primarily discipleship based, as well as provide tutoring, at
least a snack in the beginning (which will hopefully soon be a full
meal), English classes and opportunities for recreational sports all
in a safe Christ-centered environment. the program will be every day
after school five days a week. We have much to decide in these
beginning stages, much prayer still needed, and many things to discuss
and determine. But our priority now is determining what God's best is
and asking Him to match up our dreams with His. We ask that you pray
that we be filled, strengthened and guided by the Holy Spirit as we
move forward in this. We will provide more details in our next
newsletter and upcoming prayer request emails. You cn check out the
following website for Potter's Field Ministries to get an idea of the
organization we will be working with:

Thank you for partnering with us in making disciples in Costa Rica!

April 14, 2010

Dear friends and family,
We write you this week to ask you to join us in praising God who provides, always and abundantly more than we could ever dream or imagine!

Praise God with us that we have been given the use of a large home during our stay in Frankfort. Praise God with us for this wonderful blessing for our family! Praise God for the way He plans and uses His people! Praise the God that provides!

Praise God with us for the ways in which He is providing for our financial needs. We are now able to purchase our return tickets to Costa Rica because of the generosity of God's people. Because of the willing obedience of God's people, we have received generous donations and formed new monthly partnerships that will help to ensure our ability to continue serving and ministering in Costa Rica.  Praise the God that provides!

Praise God for several baptisms on Easter Sunday during the sunrise service for Calvary Chapel! Two women, a young teenager and our Isabelle were baptized during the service held on Tamarindo Beach. A husband and wife (Jorge and Marcella) met good friends of ours through a tragic event that took place right outside the hotel were they work. After several minutes of talking with our friends, Jorge and Marcella said they needed to be in church again and the next Sunday and each one since, they have been in church. Marcella's daughter accepted the Lord Palm Sunday and they were both baptized Easter Sunday.  A woman named Maria was also baptized. She found her way to Calvary Chapel, where she found Pastor Phil. Maria wanted to end her life- she felt there was nothing to live for anymore. It was during her time talking with Pastor Phil and his wife Rebecca that Maria found the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE found only in Jesus Christ. She was baptized a few days later on Easter. We had had several conversations with our Isabelle about baptism and what it meant. She has told us several times she was ready to be baptized. The night before Easter Isabelle told Brooke she was ready and did not want to wait any more. She walked forward and Matt and Pastor Phil baptized her on Easter Sunday in the Pacific Ocean! Praise God for these public professions of faith and obedience. Praise God that both Maria and Marcella are beginning dicipleship. Please pray for God to provide someone to continue with Marcella, as Brooke will start with her this week, but will not be able to continue until we return from the states.

Praise God for providing our neighbors who will care for our home and our pets while we are gone. Please pray for our animals- we are really going to miss them and pray that they will be fine while we are gone. Please pray for Lucy as she continues to deal with skin irritations. Please pray for protection for the animals as well as for our home.

Please pray for our disciples while we are gone. Pray that they will continue in God's way and will not stray from His word.

Praise God with us for Helga, from Filadelfia. On March 10, a mission team was serving with First Baptist church and Pastor Nelson under the leadership of fellow CLF missionary, Ron Droke. The team walked the streets of Filadelfia sharing the gospel door-to-door. Members of this mission team knocked on Helga's door, in hopes of sharing the gospel with her. Helga came to the door and listened to the North Americans and then began to share her story. She had accepted the Lord only days before, alone in her home. But despair had overcome her in the days that followed and that very day, just before the knock came at her door, she had been standing in her kitchen holding a knife, ready to kill herself. She had learned that she had cancer and the pain and effects of the disease were physically and emotionally wearing her down. She wanted to end it all. Then the knock came at her door. God provides! Since that day, Pastor Nelson and Matt have followed up with Helga each week during their weekly discipleship groups in Filadelfia. When First Evangelical Presbyterian church came and served with us, the entire team visited with Helga and her family and prayed over her. Helga is fully aware of those of you who are praying for her in the United States. Last Friday, Helga reported that she no longer feels any pain from the cancer, she no longer feels the lump that was once in her chest and she feels like a new person! Helga truly believes she has been healed by the Lord. Even though she is still waiting for the results of the biopsy that was done over a month ago, she believes God has taken away her cancer. Please join us in praying for Helga!

Praise God that Ronny has committed to beginning discipleship with Matt. We shared a special time with them in their home last week, simply showing them Christ's love through a simple way we could help them. It was the first time they had invited us into their home and we sat and shared with them. Ronny opened up about his struggle and we shared that God is working in his life. Ronny said he understood this and could see it. This past Sunday, Ronny came to Calvary church, along with Dinora, and their two boys, and Elvita. Please pray with us for this family. Please continue to pray for Ronny's salvation, because he has not yet accepted the Lord. Please pray for this family while we are away. We know fully well that everything that has happened with this family has nothing to do with us- but everything to do with the Lord and His glory. But even so, we find it very hard to be leaving them in such a crucial time in their lives. Please pray for these friends that we dearly love.

Please continue to pray for our marriage. We've been going through a series of DVD's called Love and Respect together for some time now. These DVD's have helped us see what is actually happening when little things suddenly become big things between the two of us. We are beginning to understand how our words and actions are interpreted by the opposite spouse and therefore can build the other up or tear them down. Praise God for these DVD's that were lent to us. Please continue to pray for us as we continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord and as a couple.

Please pray for a vehicle for our family to use while in the Frankfort area the dates of May 9-June 15. God in his majesty, being the ultimate provider, already knows this need and has sent the response as we have asked him to provide.

April 7, 2010

Dear loved ones,
We write to you this week asking you to rejoice with us over several small things, but things we feel are answered prayers and therefore significant!

Yesterday in Brooke's discipleship group with Elvita, Ana, and Dinora, the ladies came to a very real understanding of how the Word of God acts as a double-edged sword, cutting out the sin in our lives and replacing it with the Word of God, living and active. Dinora's husband has been sober about two and a half weeks now. Dinora has the date noted in Lesson Two of the discipleship book when she began praying for him and his salvation. Yesterday, she realized that it had been only a little over ONE MONTH of praying specifically for him that Ronny quit drinking. During this time, she has begun to read her Bible daily, both alone and with him when he would. They are now reading it together every morning- one chapter a day- and Dinora finds herself drawn to the Word of God when she has down time. Little by little, these three ladies are coming to an understanding of the power of God working in their lives. Yesterday. Elvita burnt her youngest son's lunch because she was trying to finish reading a chapter of 2 Samuel and trying to fix his lunch at the same time! Please pray that God continues to reveal himself to them in unmistakable ways.

Also, yesterday, Elvita opened the group time in prayer. She has not been willing to pray in front of us since we started the group, which is totally her decision. Brooke has had many discussions about prayer and how to pray. Elvita was fearful that she would cry if she prayed, to which Brooke explained that the Holy Spirit works for us in prayer, praying with us, and praying for us. Many times, Brooke herself becomes overwhelmed with the presence of the Holy Spirit, with who God is, and what Jesus did for her while praying that she cries as well. It is normal and actually a beautiful and special moment to share with your Creator. Brooke had not asked her again however, although Ana and Dinora each week ask her. This week, again the other two ladies asked Elvita. Dinora said that before beginning discipleship, she had not prayed nor had she known how, but that Brooke told her how and now she does, all the time. She began to say, : Gracias, Senor..." and Elvita repeated it and then began praying on her own. It was one of the sweetest moments I have ever been privileged to be a part of. Elvita is 60 years old and yesterday was the first time she has ever prayed out loud with other believers. Praise you Jesus!!

Will you continue to join us in praying for this family. Continue to pray for the salvation of Alvaro and his two sons Marcos and Ronny. Continue to pray for their desire to be discipled. Please continue to pray for our deepening relationship with this family.

Thank you for praying!

March 10, 2010

Dear Prayer warriors,

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

We write this week with three urgent prayer requests and we ask you to go before Lord with us about these three things:

1. Please pray specifically for the funding needed for the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church mission team that will be coming to serve with us on March 20 - 27. This is our home church and we are so excited to see them. Please pray as they wrap up details on their end and for Jehova Jireh to meet all needs of this trip.

2. Please pray for us on our end as we work hard to coordinate schedules with two churches, arrange food purchasing, menus and cooking with two different teams of cooks. Please pray as we are, for God's love, mercy and grace be poured out upon the people of Villareal and Filadelfia while the team is here. Pray as the next two weeks go quickly by for God to open the hearts of the people in Villareal to accept His free gift of salvation.  Pray for the special events where the team will learn the culture of Costa Rica, especially that of Guanacaste. Pray that not only will the team be enriched through an entire day of culture learning, but the people we love (who the team will be spending the day with) will be enriched as well.

3. We have an urgent need and a call to fervent prayer for our financial support. We are at an all time low and truth be told, we are looking at taking an undetermined time of furlough until funds increase. We do NOT feel that God is through with us here in Villareal, however, we cannot support our family living here any longer without an increase in monthly support in the form of more committed monthly supporters. We are asking for prayer for wisdom, guidance, our faith to be increased, and for the Lord of lords to provide for our needs so we do not have to be away any longer than necessary from the harvest field which he has sent us to. Please pray against spiritual discouragement.

Would you like to partner with us financially?
The quickest and easiest way is to go to
www.christianlightfoundation.com and click "Online giving." There you will find instructions on how to give from the website of our sending agency.

Would you like to visit with us while we are back in the states on our furlough in May to discuss future partnerships with you, your family or your church? Would you like for our family to share at a gathering in your home or in your church? Please contact us at
mateomcclain07@aol.com or anastasiamcclain@aol.com

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through email or by phone through our Vonage phone number which is a US phone number that reaches rings to us here in Costa Rica: 765-807-5063.

We trust that God WILL provide and truth be told, He always has. We believe in Jesus' Name that He will make our paths straight. Please join us in praying and believing in the King of kings to do great things.
Serving Christ 'til He comes back,
Matt and Brooke :)

February 16, 2010

Dear faithful prayer partners,

We thank God for your continued prayers. God is truly answering them.

Last week we began an English class with our neighbors. It is a very informal class, but they each receive homework and are left with things to study for the next class. We decided to meet with them Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from about 4:15-5:15 each week. We are very impressed at how they are taking the class seriously and are really studying! Thursday they receive quite a bit more homework than on Tuesday and they were actually eager for that! To say that God is using this class for more than English would be an understatement. We wish that we could say that the whole household has come to know the Lord. That has not happened- YET! However, the husband, Alvaro, has been home more this past week than we've seen him since we moved. He is out on the porch practicing with his family. He opened up to Matt and I on Thursday evening in a way very uncommon with men of this culture. In fact, we were at their house about 2 hours after the class getting to know them better, with Alvaro doing most of the talking. Please pray that God would prepare Alvaro's heart to be open to the gospel. Please pay that God would give Alvaro ears to hear the gospel.

Also, please continue to pray for Dinora and her husband, Ronny. Dinora is one of the most excellent disciples I've seen. Completely prepared every week with  verse and lesson, and she is searching for the answers to the questions she has. She is learning to rely more and more on the Lord and less and less on her own strength or resources. Her biggest prayer request is for Ronny who is an alcoholic. Ronny had told her she could not go to church with us anymore, but that he would go to mass with her every Saturday. So, Dinora was submissive to his wishes and stayed home from church on Sunday. That night, he asked her why she didn't go and she responded in a very respectful way. She also shared with him the discipleship book and gave him the Bible  I had just given her. (This is the second Bible she has given away since we started discipleship! The first was to her mother, who does not know the Lord either).  She even encouraged him to start the same study with Matt! Please for his heart as well, to be opened by God to the gospel message.

Please pray for the many, many people who are slaves to alcoholism in Villareal. We have seen so many lives affected by this addiction, which many times is accompanied by an addiction to drugs, as well. Please pray that God's Word would be a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path. Please pray that God would allow those who have fallen captive to alcoholism to recognize the Living Water that will quench their thirst forever and once and forever fill the void in their lives that they seek to fill with alcohol and sometimes drugs.

Please pray for direction for Matt and I as we seek God's will in our lives and future direction. God seems to be presenting several opportunities for future ministry and we seek to follow only what He has specifically chosen for us. Please pray for clarity.

Praise God for clarity and wisdom about decisions Brooke was trying to make regarding homeschool. For now, Brooke and our kids continue as before with no additions or changes to the daily routine and learning is continuing and going well! Praise God for His wisdom and sovereignty! Thank you for praying!

Thank you for standing in the gap for us.

Serving Christ 'til He comes back,
Brooke :)

February 8, 2010

Dear family and friends,
We pray that you are all well and joyful in the Lord this week.

We write with several specific requests and praises for this week.

First, please join us in praising the Lord with us for donations we received last summer to purchase uniforms and school supplies from Hickory grove Church! We were able to provide uniforms for many children from both Calvary Chapel and First Baptist as well as school supplies for all the school age children from both churches! God is so good and we rejoice for special offerings like this that are such tangible meaningful blessings to the brothers and sisters in Christ here in Costa Rica. THANK YOU Hickory Grove!!!!

Praise God for a wonderful, refreshing time in Nicaragua. Thank you for praying!

We ask that you pray specifically this week for an English class we are starting with our landlord and his entire family. Tuesday afternoon, our landlord, Alvaro, his wife Elvita and their children, Ernesto (Marcos), Ana, and Ronny and his wife Dinora will begin bout 10-12 weeks of basic English classes with us. Brooke is currently discipling Dinora, Elvita and Ana. Although each of them has said that they have accepted Christ, some inconsistencies still exist and we ask that you pray that God's Word speaks truth into their hearts and they come to know Him as their personal Savior. We ask that you pray this same Truth be true in the lives of these three men as well. None of them know Jesus and it is our goal to offer this class to them not only as a way to teach them English, but also as a way to teach them the Truth of God's Word.  Brooke discussed what a class would look like and that they would have homework and it would be from the Bible. Also, we feel God has opened this door as a way for Matt to minister to these men. Please pray for God to bless this time we have with this whole family and that He would be honored, glorified and His Kingdom furthered. Pray that ultimately our time with them would be less and less about English and more and more about our Savior! Pray for the salvation of the entire family.

Please also pray this week for a young girl named Lindsey who Brooke has been spending time with. There is much going on in the life of this young lady and we ask that you ask God to continue allowing Brooke to minister to her. Pray that she would come to know Jesus as her personal Savior.

Pray also for the many needs of the people here. The economic situations here are so diverse, but overall the situations of many in the churches are very hard. Praise God for many who have work. Pray for those who do not. Pray for their basic needs to be met. Pray for their faith to be strengthened even in times of great need.

Serving Christ 'til He comes back,
Matt and Brooke :)

January 27, 2010

Dear brothers and sisters,
We write to you this week with several things to pray for.

We ask that you continue to pray for the discipleship groups at both First Baptist church and Calvary Chapel. Pray that the leaders of both churches grow in their relationship with Christ, continue to guard His Word in their hearts and that their enthusiasm for being a disciple and making disciples continues. Each week, it is a joy for Matt to witness these adults and some youth go over their lessons and say their verses. They take it seriously and it really is encouraging to see! We are more and more convinced of the power of discipleship as we see these church leaders become built up in him, their faith is strengthened and they overflow with thankfulness for the discipleship groups. Each week, members of the churches give thanks for discipleship and it is a joy to hear their thankfulness. Pray with us that they will keep their focus on Christ and pray that they will each go and make disciples as well.

Praise God with us for the way He continues to weave our lives together with our neighbors. Pray for Brooke as she meets for the second time with Elvita, Dinora and Ana and they go over the salvation lesson. Pray for Brooke as she prepares to share the gospel with them this Thursday. Pray that the Holy Spirit will be present and they will each give their lives to Christ.

Pray for us as we travel to Nicaragua, Monday, February 1 to renew our visas. We will be traveling through Wednesday, February 3.

Praise God with us for really positive days for homeschooling with Brooke and the kids! Praise God that we seem to have finally found a routine that works for everyone! Continue to pray for Brooke as their teacher. Thank you for praying - we feel your prayers! :)

Continue to pray for the mission team in March. We continue to make plans for lodging, food and the schedule. Pray for those who are struggling to meet the financial needs to come.

Thanks you for praying for our family!

In Christ,
Matt and Brooke :)

January 12, 2010

Dear family and friends,
We write to you this week with several prayer requests and praises. Please join us this week as we pray specifically for these things.

Please pray specifically this week as we prepare to purchase a vehicle! Praise God with us for the funds that have been generously given to us and for those that we have been able to save to put towards the purchase of this vehicle. Please pray  for a smooth transfer  of funds from our US bank to the owner's Costa Rican bank, affordable legal fees and a trustworthy lawyer, and that the vehicle run well and be dependable for our family.

Please pray for the new discipleship group starting at Calvary Chapel this Thursday, January 14th. Praise God with us for this group as well as the First Baptist group and the Filadelphia group. Praise God with us for the ministry of discipleship.

Please pray for Brooke and the kids as they restart homeschool this week. Pray for positive attitudes for both mom and children, a hunger to learn and a desire to work hard, and for the days to be blessed. Pray also for the possibility Brooke has of working with two other homeschooling moms and sharing the teaching of the arts as well as science to the combination of five children. Pray for wisdom and God's direction.

Also pray this week as we plan for or first ever mission team in March! Praise God for this long time prayer finally being answered of hosting a mission team! Pray as we discuss details, look for lodging and plan meals, and pray about the schedule for the team! Join us in praising God for His faithfulness and asking for His blessing on the planning, affordable airfare, the funds needed for those committed to coming, and especially for His purpose for this specific group of servants for this specific time in Villareal.

Pray for good health for our family. The dry season here has brought a period of heavy winds which help to cool things off but dramatically increase the dirt, dust and debris flying around and into our home.  This has affected each of us in different ways, but mainly with bloody noses, allergy attacks and headaches. Please continue to pray against any asthma related issues in Isabelle.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer, faithful warriors!

In Christ,
Matt and Brooke :)
